OYO Descendants Union, UK branch donates 1m naira to OYO metro development association for electricity project.

The OYO Descendants Union(ODU), United kingdom London branch has donated one million naira for the on going electricity project at Oyo and it environs as part of their commitment for development of the town.

 

 

 

 

Alhaji Sheu Hamzat, co- founder and past president of (ODU) United kingdom presents a draft for the sums of one million naira on Monday 6th November 2023 during a visit on behalf of the ODU United Kingdom members to the Chairman of OYO metro developments association, his eminence Archbishop Peter Oladigbolu.

 

 

 

 

 

His Eminence, Oladigbolu, Chairman of OYO metro development association appreciated the (ODU)United kingdom members for their kind gestures and display of patriotism for their father land.

He commended them for financial supports and assured the union members that the association will used the funds judiciously.

He ,however announced to the delegates that the second phase of the project will soon commence with a view to generating at least eight Hours of energy transmissions daily in OYO town and it’s environs without unnecessary interruption.

“But through it has been estimated to cost One hundred and fifty Million naira, therefore I am appealing for more contribution from members and individual of OYO descendants, he pleaded.

In his response, Alhaji Hamzat, promised to delivered the message to the OYO Descendants Union as believed to get a positive answer.

He thanked the association excos and entire members for their Untiring moral and financial contributions towards the developments of OYO and urged them to stay positive, united and focused.

Those presents at the visit were Princes of Oyo kingdom ; Prince Akinade Adeyemi, Prince Majeed Ladigbolu OkobiIya and Alhaji prince Kola Kadewolu Adeyemi ,the chairman of “Anti- Corruption Awareness Organization” (ACAON) and a member of OYO Descendants Union (ODU) representative in Nigeria.
