PDP Campaign Team Uncovers Plot To Rig Kebbi Guber Election, Calls INEC to Investigate
PDP– As the 2023 governorship elections hold on Saturday, March 18, the campaign team of General Aminu Bande,rtd, the Kebbi State Peoples Democratic governorship candidate governorship has uncovered plans by some undemocratic elements to rig the election, using different methods.
According to a release by the campaign team signed by the Director General, Alhaji Shehu Abdillahi, the PDP said “Reports from reliable intelligence sources indicate that some undemocratic elements have hatched a plot to rig the 2023 guber and state assembly election slated for Saturday, March 18, 2023.
The statement disclosed that “The sinister plans include adding voter’s numbers without accreditation, delay of BVAS to function slowly, disruption of polling units perceived to be PDP stronghold among others.
“The arrangement is to cause massive cancellation of polling units that have significant support for the PDP and reduce the number of PDP voters statewide.
The statement identified local government areas designated for this purpose are Gwnadu, Bagundu, Jeja, Maiyama, Bunza, Sakabe, Fakai, Zuru and aREwa, Koko -Besse, Argungu, Shanga, Suru, Yauri, Ngaski, Dandi.
The Bande campaign team, therefore, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to investigate this plot and ensure that the undemocratic elements do not carry out the plot saying “In the light of this, it is pertinent to investigate this unholy arrangement with a view to take appropriate action to curtail it in earnest,” the statement warned.
Meanwhile, available information further indicates that the PDP candidate, Aminu Bande who is well-loved by the people has called on his supporters to avoid trouble but be meticulous in checkmating all the anti-democratic plots, assuring that PDP will win the election.
