President Buhari has failed the nation as far as tackling insecurity in Nigeria is concerned – Alhaji Shehuh- The chairman, Mile 12 International Market, Lagos, Alhaji Shehu Usman-Jubril, has commended Lagosians for the peaceful conduct of the last bye election in the state yesterday.

 

Usman-Jubril, who voted at his polling unit commended INEC for the smooth logistics, stressing that his area witnessed a massive voter turnout.

Speaking with journalists on the reasons for closing the market for half day, he said, “we need to repect government, although it was very difficult for a market with perishable product to closed for some hours. Some perishable goods just arrived in the market as usual, we normally offload them immediately because they spend about two days before arriving”

“Being good citizens of Nigeria, we
abide with the law and order for the smooth conduct of elections in the state, so we have to close the market to vote.
“You can notice how my people came out massively to carry out their civic respinsibilty”,he added.

The market leader urged the state government to do the needful by providing an enabling environment for successful business transaction.

He said, “so i want the government to protect our interest, especially as far as our people are bringing their products to the market for buyers to come to buy. We do not want harassment or intimidation,” he stressed.

The market leader pointed out that, President Muhammadu Buhari has failed the nation as far as tackling insecurity in Nigeria is concerned.

He said that the administration of President Buhari appeared helpless in finding solutions to insecurity as well as poverty in the country.

His words: “I stand to tell you that President Buhari has failed the nation by not improving security. Poverty, and massive security have worsened under this administration. “During his campaign he promised Nigerians that every thing would be alright.
” For example,what type of language would i use to explain to my people that Goodluck Jonathan administration that was corrupt a bag of rice was N7.000 but now is sold at N20- 25.000 in the market.

“It is very wrong that under his watch the nation is not secured the economy is getting worse.”

Usman-Jubril advised Lagosian to be calm and patient and always pray for the state and nation for God’s protection and intervention.
