Stike:Please give the government more time, prophet Ikuru pleads with NLC and TUC

The prophetic hall of fame, prophet Godwin Ikuru of Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry has pleaded with NLC and TUC not to embark of the proposed strike which is supposed to begin tomorrow,3 of June.

Speaking to newsmen today in Lagos, the prophet maintained that Nigeria has a listening president who cares for the people and urged NLC to give the government more time in order for them to reach a compromise “I know that that things are tough at the moment and the Labour Congress is fighting for the interest of the masses,I want to earnestly appeal to them to give the government more time, strike does not help a nation,it cripples the economy,Nigeria does not need this at this time”.

It can be recalled that the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress resolved to embark on indefinite strike from tomorrow, Monday,3rd of June due to failure to reach an agreement with the government over the minimum wage, the hike of electricity tariff is also another bone of contention.

The strike is really going to cripple the entire economy as NUPENG and PENGASSAN have vowed to join the strike which will definitely result to fuel scarcity across the nation.
