Two men arrested with 14 sacks containing fake ballot papers in Kano

The Kano Police Command says it has arrested two suspects in possession of 14 bags of fake ballot papers in Kano state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the suspects were arrested with the fake ballot papers around Metro Police Area Command on Wednesday night, February 13th.

Upon interrogation, the suspects said they were from Jigawa state and were only going to sensitize the people in Kano on how to cast their votes correctly during the elections.

Haruna added that investigation was still ongoing as the case had since been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Development (CID).
